Top 10 Win in NatWest Series

The NatWest Series is alluded to by the National Westminster Bank. This arrangement is played in a one-day International 50-50 organisation. The principal NatWest was played in 2000 in England. The principal configuration of this competition was Tri-Series, which includes England and two additional groups taking part globally.

Each group needs to play three coordinated with one another lastly the main two groups will play the last at Lord’s in London. The other ten matches would be played on various worldwide grounds, just as on other countries’ global ground.

The primary NatWest competition was played in England, only a year after England facilitated the world cup. The 2000 arrangement was played between England-West Indies-Zimbabwe. In which, England and Zimbabwe played the finals and England won by six wickets. Here is the complete list of:

1. Australian Vs England

The match was between Australia and England, played in the year 2001. Where Australia came out to bat and the opener couldn’t perform well and went back to the pavilion very early. The skipper Steve Waugh scored 64 runs and Damien Martyn scored 51 runs and reached a total of 208 runs.

On the other side, England was looking on a very confident side. But, unfortunately, no player played well and even the skipper himself went out on duck and the whole team was back to the pavilion by scoring just 86 runs and Australia won it by 125 runs.

2. Australia Vs Pakistan

The match was played between Australia and Pakistan, played by the Lords in 2001. Pakistan came out to bat first and none of the players was in good form to score or build a partnership. Even the captain Waqar Younis went out at dusk. Finally, Pakistan posted a total of 152 runs.

On the other side, Australia came out to bat and the opener Adam Gilchrist scored 76 runs and Ricky Ponting scored 35 and both remained not out, with just one wicket fell of Mark Waugh and Australia won it by 9 wickets.

3. Pakistan Vs England

The match was played between Pakistan and England, which was played in Birmingham in 2001. Pakistan came out to bat first and the opener, Saeed Anwar, scored 77 runs and Inzamam UL Haq scored 79 runs and took the team to the total of 273 runs.

Whereas England came out to bat, the opener was looking in good form Marcus scored 28 and Nick Knight scored 59 runs and remained not out and no other played well. At last, Pakistan won the match by 108 runs.

4. Australia Vs England

The match was between two massive teams, Australia and England, played at The Oval in 2001. England came out to bat first and the opener couldn’t perform well, but Nick Knight and the lower order batsmen Andy Caddick scored 36 runs and took the team to 176 runs.

Australian openers were in good form and Adam Gilchrist scored 80 runs and Ricky Ponting scored 70 runs and remained not out and took the team to a massive victory by 8 wickets.

5. Pakistan Vs Australia

The match was played between Pakistan and Australia, played in the year 2001. Pakistan came out to bat first and the openers Saeed Anwar and Saleem played really well and contributed 113 runs. The further middle also played really well and reached a total of 290 runs.

Whereas, Australia came out to bat and the opener being very consistent, Adam Gilchrist scored 70 runs and captain Steve Waugh scored 56 runs and no other played was in form to achieve the target and the whole team was back to the pavilion at 254 runs. And Pakistan won it by 36 runs.

6. Pakistan Vs Australia

The match was played between Pakistan and Australia in Cardiff in the year 2001. Pakistan came out to play first and Md Younis played a wonderful knock of 91 runs and took the team to a total of 257 runs. Australia on the other side came out to chase and Ricky Ponting played a brilliant knock of 70 runs and skipper Steve Waugh scored 54 and remained not out and took the team towards victory and won it by 7 wickets.

7. Pakistan Vs England

The match was played between Pakistan and England in the 2001 edition of the NatWest Series. Where Pakistan came out to bat and Md Yousuf played a brilliant knock of 81 runs and Younis Khan scored 41 runs and took the total to 242 runs.

England came out to chase and the opener Marcus Trescothick scored 137 and Owais Shah scored 62 runs, except for these two players no other player performed well and the whole team went back to the pavilion at 240 runs and Pakistan made it to the win by just 2 wickets.

8. England vs Australia

The match was played between England and Australia, played in Bristol in 2001. England came out to bat and the opener Marcus played a wonderful knock of 69 runs and Nick Knight scored 84 runs and took the tram to the total of 268 runs.

On the other side, Australia came out to chase and Ricky Ponting played very beautifully and knocked 102 runs and also there was a contribution by other middle-order batsmen and this contribution took the team towards victory and Australia won it by 5 wickets.

9. Pakistan Vs Australia

The match was played between Pakistan and Australia, which was played at The Lord’s in the 2001 edition of the NatWest Series. Pakistan came out to bat first, but the player couldn’t build a much better partnership and somehow managed to reach a total of 152 runs.

On the other side, Adam Gilchrist and Mark Waugh played a beautiful knock of 112 runs and took the team towards the victory by 9 wickets and with 141 balls remaining.
