1. Brian Lara

Brian Lara is a Caribbean cricketer. Brian Lara had a wonderful ODI as well as in World Cup career. He was known as the saviour for his team for many years. Brian Lara was the part of five world cups, started in 1992. Lara played total 34 tournaments and also took the lead in 1999 and 2007. 

He knocked total two centuries each in 1996 and 2003. He was known for scoring at least 200 runs in all the editions. His top score of 116 runs came against South Africa in 2003 world cup. He scored 1225 runs with the average of 42.24. He is amongst the top scorer in the ODI format.

2. Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar is a well known Indian cricketer. Sachin Tendulkar is popularly known as Master Blaster. He is considered as one of the best batsmen in the history of cricket and also he has a good consistency level. He has been always known for scoring the maximum number of runs. 

He played multiple tournament between the span of 1990 to 2012. He played total 463 matches and scored 18426 runs. He has been always very impressive with his bating performance. He is not only a record holder in ODIs but also in Test cricket. 

3. Viv Richards

Viv Richards is a Right Handed batsmen and plays for West Indies. He was a brilliant ODI player. He played total 187 ODI matches and scored 6721 runs with a strike rate of 90.2. His highest individual score is 189 runs. He has a very aggressive batting stance.

He just wear a cap while batting and rarely uses his helmet. He was also a part of World Cup when West Indies won the world cup in 1975 and 1979. He was very good at his batting skills and some he bowls very well, West Indies players are always known for their best allrounder performances.

4. Jacque Kallis

Jacque Kallis is a South African Cricketer. He is one of the best all rounder in the South Africa team but when it comes to bat, he becomes very aggressive. He has a good personality as an athlete. He has always played as a record maker player.

He played total 328 ODI matches and managed to score 11579 runs. He was also known for his performance in Test cricket, he played 166 matches and scored 13289 runs. He was very consistent in his test cricket performance and also a good performer in T20 format where, he played 98 matches and scored 2427 runs. 

5. Shivnarine Chanderpaul  

Shivnarine Chanderpaul is a Sri Lankan left handed batsmen. He was one of the best Caribbean cricketer. He is known for his excellent batting performance. He mainly focused on ODI and Test format matches.

He played total 268 matches and scored 8778 runs and also played 164 test matches and 11867 runs. In his Test matches, he was very consistent. He was one of the best batsmen in the Sri Lankan cricket lineup. He has a very good consistency in his batting. 

6. Ricky Ponting 

Ricky Ponting is an Australian Right handed batsmen. His performance with the bat is quite awesome, but also his fielding skills are too good. In the cricket history he didn’t made the records only with bat but also in the fielding department. 

He was one of the most consistent player in the history of cricket and also he impressed his fans with his batting performance. He was also the captain of Australian Team. He is amongst one of the best batsmen in the Australian team.

He played total 375 matches and scored 13704 runs. When it comes to Test format matches, he played 168 matches and scored 13378 runs. He was not an aggressive player, so he didn’t play a good role in T20 matches. 

7. Sanath Jayasuriya

Jayasuriya ended his journey in 2007 world cup and he was a second highest run makes after Mahela Jayawardene. In 1996 edition, Jayasuriya was the most valuable player. He was the part of total five world cups and appeared in 38 matches. Jayasuriya also captained the team in semi finals in 2003, he scored 120 against New Zealand. He gave his best performance in the ODI series. 

8. Mahela Jayawardene

Mahela Jayawardene is a Sri Lankan player. He a very skilled as well a experienced player. He is considered as the best cricketer in the history of cricket and also one of the consistent player in his batting performance. He is currently acting as a mentor for Sri Lankan team as well as for Mumbai Indian. He played total 448 ODI matches and scored 12650 runs.

He was also a very brilliant player during his test matches where, he played total 149 matches and 11814 runs and also played really well during his T20. Mahela Jayawardene being a skipper, he has a very good capability of taking his team to a huge victory and for this he has been always ahead. 

9. Kumar Sangakkara

Kumar Sangakkara is a Sri Lankan cricketer and hold a most successful wicketkeeper with 54 dismissals. 2015 world cup series was one of the best series for him. He scored total 541 runs with the strike rate of 108.20. It also includes four back to back centuries and by doing so, he was the first batsmen to do so in ODIs. 

As captain, he took Sri Lanka to finals against India, scoring 465 runs with the average of 93.00, which also included one century and three fifties. Total runs scored by him- 1532 with the average of 56.74.

10. Adam Gilchrist

The Australian batsmen as well the keeper. Be is very good at front of the stumps and behind the stumps. He is known for his wonderful opening contribution to the team and with a good score.He also holds the record of most catches in the world cup history. Gilchrist total scored 110 highest runs, with an average of 36.16. He is amongst the best batsmen in the ODIs.
