The Champions League is also commonly known as CLT20. It is the tournament held annually on an International level between top teams of major Cricketing nations. This tournament was launched in the year 2008. The first tournament of this league was to be played in 2008, but due to the Mumbai attack in the same year the tournament got cancelled. 

After that, the tournament occurred in 2009 and was hosted by India. The latest Champions League Twenty20 tournament was played in 2014 in India. It’s a 20-20 format league. These tournaments are managed and organised jointly by BCCI, Cricket Australia, and Cricket South Africa.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Champions League Twenty20 and Indian Premier League is Mr Sundar Raman. The tournament used to take place during September and October month which is played in a period of two to three weeks. Here is the list of:

1. Pawan Negi

Pawan Negi is an Indian cricketer. He is a left-arm spin bowler. His performance in the Champion League 20 has been very ultimate. During his match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, his bowling spell of 4 over resulted in just 22 runs and massive 5 wickets. He bowled with the economic rate of 5.50. He is the leading wicket-taker from the Indian team. His bowling style is also very different and unique.

2. Azhar Mahmood

Azhar Mahmood is a cricketer from Pakistan. He is a right-arm fast bowler, and he is also acted as a Pakistan Bowling Coach. He has had a wonderful experience in his bowling unit. He played against Hampshire, during his bowling spell of 4 overs and gave 24 runs and took 5 wickets, with a very decent economy rate. He has played really well when he was part of Kings XI Punjab.

3. Shaun Tait

4. Lasith Malinga

Lasith Malinga is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He is a right-arm fast bowler and has a very different and unique bowling style. He was very impressive during the match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. He bowled 4 overs spell and gave 32 runs but took massive 5 wickets and took his team to the winning side.

His variations and pace have always resulted in trouble for the batsmen. Especially in the opening spell and in death over, he remains quite impressive. His pace in the bowling has really troubled lots of batsmen.

5. Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine is a Caribbean cricketer, plays for West Indies. He is not only a good bowler but we can say that he is an all-rounder. In the T20 format, he comes as an opener and makes full utilisation of power-play. During his spell against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he gave only 9 runs and took 4 wickets.

His economic rate was very decent and the best on the list. Especially in the T20 overs, he gets in terrific form. His spinning quality has lots of variation, which becomes very difficult for the batsmen.

6. Matthew Gale

Matthew Gale is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-arm fast bowler. He plays in all the formats of cricket. During his 2.5 overs spell gave only 10 runs and took 4 wickets. The match was against Titans and played in Mohali. It was one of the best spells in his bowling career. As a bowler, he has faced lots of problems as injury and illness. But still, he manages to play after his recovery and perform well for his team.

7. Ravi Rampaul

Ravi Rampaul is a West Indies player. He is a right-arm fast bowler. He opens the spell and remains very economical. During the match against Leicestershire Cricket Team, he bowled 4 overs and gave just 14 runs and took massive 4 wickets. His economic rate was only 3.50, which is very good. He troubles the batsmen with his pace and variations. Every bowler has a good motive is troubling the batsmen with his variations.

8. Ravi Rampaul

Ravi Rampaul is a West Indies bowler. He is a right-arm fast bowler. The match was against Heat and he bowled 3.4 overs and gave 14 runs and took 4 wickets. He generally opens the spell and remains very economical. He troubles the batsmen with his pace and lots of variations.

His economic rate was only 3.50, which is very good as a bowler. More than a wicket, the economy rate should also be focused and taken care of. The over should not be an expensive one.

9. Pravin Tambe

Pravin Tambe is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-arm spin bowler. His career has been quite interesting, as he wanted to become a fast bowler but his career totally got changed and he debuts as a spin bowler. In his bowling spell against Gujarat Lions of 3 over, he gave just 15 runs and took 4 wickets, with an economy rate of 5.00. His spin bowling is quite impressive, and he made his debut in IPL at the age of 41 years and even at the age of 41, his bowling performance was very fabulous.

10. Karanveer Singh

Karanveer Singh is an Indian Cricketer. He is a right-arm leg-break bowler. He has been part of Kings XI Punjab. The match was against Northern Diamonds and he bowled 3.2 overs and gave just 15 runs and took 4 wickets. He was also very good with his economy rate of 4.50. He such a T20 match, the economy rate is very impressive for the bowler and the bowling team.
