ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has been renamed, as earlier it was popularly known as ICC World Twenty. International Cricket Council (ICC) has all the rights to perform the tournaments. ICC is an International Organisation who looks after the management and smooth conduct of tournaments under their Governance.

It is played in 20-20 format. Initially, the T20 series was started and adopted by the English Cricket Board. Their matches started attracting more and more crowd with a large audience. Gradually other Cricket Board also stated adopting this format due to its high popularity and unexpected crowd. The first T20 World Cup was played in year 2007. In 2016, the current edition was played & West Indies won that Edition.

1. England vs South Africa

The match between England and South Africa was played in Mumbai in 2016. Where South Africa team came out to bat and the opening pairs Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock scored 110 runs and reached the final score of 229 runs.

In the second innings, England Batsmen came and except Jason Roy other opening batsmen lost their wicket very early and when Joe Root came to bat and played a wonderful inning of 83 runs and made his team win by 2 wickets.

2. South Africa vs West Indies

The match between South Africa and West Indies was played at Johannesburg in 2007. West Indies started the innings and the Universe Boss opened the innings and thrashed all the bowlers and scored massive 117 runs in just 57 deliveries and built the huge target of 206 runs.

On the other hand, South Africa came out to bat and the opener Herschelle Gibbs scored 90 runs and remained not out and Justin scored 46 and made his team win by 8 wickets.

3. Australia vs Pakistan

The match between Australia and Pakistan was played at Gros Islet in 2010 and it was a semi-final match. Pakistan opted to bat first and the two brothers Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal built a good partnership of 106 runs along with Salman Butt contributing 32 runs and the team reached a total of 191 runs.

In the second innings, Australia came out to bat and started losing wickets very early but the middle order batsmen Cameron White and Michael Hussey handle it nicely and made their team achieve the target and won by 3 wickets.

4. West Indies vs India

The second semi-final match between West Indies and India was played at Mumbai in the 2016 edition of T20 world cup. India came out to bat first and scored 192 runs, Virat Kohli scored the highest of 89 runs not out and reached the total of 192 runs.

In the second innings West Indies came to bat and the performance by Lendl Simmons and Andre Russell took the whole team to a great victory by 7 wickets in hand.

5. Netherland vs Ireland

The match between Netherland and Ireland was played in Sylhet in 2014. Ireland opted to bat first and with a loss of just 4 wickets, gave the target of 190 runs. On the other side, Netherland batsman came to the crease and the opening batsmen played a wonderful stroke and made a good partnership amongst the openers and Netherlands won the match by 6 wickets.

6. England vs Sri Lanka

The match between England and Sri Lanka was played on Chattagram in 2014. Where Sri Lanka opted to bat first and the opener T. Dilshan scored 55 runs and M. Jayawardene scored 89 runs and took the team to a total of 189 runs. England came out to bat and Alex Hales alone smashed 116 runs and achieved the target and won by 6 wickets.

7. England vs West Indies

The match between England and West Indies was played in Mumbai in 2016. Where England opted to bat first and the opening partnership didn’t stand well but still the contribution by every player till the sixth wicket helped the team to build a score of 183 runs for the opponent and when the West Indies came out to bat, Chris Gayle scored a wonderful century of 100 runs in just 48 balls and also remained not out and gained a huge victory by 6 wickets.

8. West Indies VS Australia

The match between West Indies and Australia was played in Dhaka in 2014. Where Australia won the toss and opted to bat first and Glenn Maxwell scored the maximum of 45 runs and others contributed some to reach the total of 178 runs.

Whereas, in the second innings West Indies came to bat and Chris Gayle performance of 53 runs and the partnership between Dwayne Bravo and Darren Sammy 61 runs made West Indies win by 6 wickets.

9. Pakistan vs Bangladesh

The match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was played at Kandy in the 2012 edition of the T20 world cup. Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first and Shakib Al Hasan scored 84 runs and some contribution by Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahman took Bangladesh to a total of 175 runs.

Whereas, in the second innings Pakistan batsmen came out for chase and the openers Md. Hafeez and Imran Nazir built a partnership of 117 runs and also N. Jamshed and Kamran Akmal scored 29 and 22 not out respectively and finished off the innings and Pakistan won the match by 8 wickets with 8 balls remaining.

10. India vs South Africa

The semi-final match between India and South Africa was played in Dhaka in 2014. Where South Africa opted to bat first and the captain Faf du Plessis scored 58 runs and JP Duminy scored 45 and remain not out and the total reached 172 runs.

On the other hand, there was India to get into the hunt and opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane of 56 runs and Virat Kohli played a wonderful knock of 72 runs and also remained not out and made India achieve its target and won by 6 wickets.
