The Cricket World Cup, the name itself says how much trill and excitement these matches amongst the Various Countries will give. It is played in One Day International (ODI) format. International Cricket Council (ICC) has all the rights to perform the tournaments.

ICC is an International Organisations who looks after the management and smooth conduct of tournaments under there Governance. It is conducted in every fourth coming year. Cricket World cup is the most viewed sports event.

Cricket fans feels more excited after watching the match live from the stadium. These matches also get many sponsorships, which helps the organisers for easy and smooth conduct of tournaments. Many organisations, companies, members and individuals were involved in order to manage smooth operation of the tournament.

The first Cricket World Cup was played on 7 June’1975. Total team participate are India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

For International Cricket Council, Cricket World Cup became the flagship event Cricket World Cup gives the good motivation level to each player and they have the keen interest to show the best for their nation.

Every nation comes with the motive of achieving the Trophy and winning for its Nation and making their Nation proud. Cricket is all about teamwork and coordination amongst each other.

1. Australia Vs Afghanistan

The highest team score was made in Australia. In 2015, the match between Australia and Afghanistan played at WACA stadium, Perth. The maximum runs of 417/6 was posted on the scoreboard. Which became very difficult for Afghanistan to achieve that score.

David Warner had a max contribution of 178 runs in just 133 balls and the major wicket taker Mitchell Johnson took 4 wickets and gave just 22 runs in 7.3 overs.

Unfortunately, Afghanistan was not able to score the massive runs target and Australia won the match by 275 runs.

2. India Vs Bermuda

India scored the second highest in the history of world cup. The match was against Bermuda. India scored 413/5 runs in 50 overs on 19th March 2007. Virendra Sehwag posted the maximum score on the scoreboard. This massive score became very difficult for Bermuda team to achieve and finally India won the match and won by 257 runs.

Anil Kumble and Ajit Agarkar both took 3 wickets each. It was a wonderful performance by team India.

3. South Africa Vs Ireland

It was the 24th match, played between South Africa and Ireland, played in Australia. South Africa built a massive score of 411/4 in 50 overs and Ireland couldn’t make it and got all out at 210 in 45 over on 3rd March 2015. Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis played a wonderful stroke and made 159 and 109 runs, respectively.

The bowling performance of Ireland couldn’t do much on the other side it was South Africa bowler, who was just brilliant with their balls.

4. South Africa Vs West Indies

South Africa again gained the top fourth position in the list by scoring the maximum runs on board. The match was against South Africa and West Indies; it was played at Sydney, Australia. Ab De Villiers had a wonderful knock and scored 162 not out and helped South Africa team to build a massive score of 408/5 in 50 overs in World cup, 2015.

West Indies came to chase the target, but unfortunately Caribbean players could not, and finally South Africa won the match by 257 runs.

5. Sri Lanka Vs Kenya

The match was played between Sri Lanka and Kenya. Sri Lanka team scored 398 runs with a loss of 5 wickets on 6th March 1996. Initially, Kenya tried to reach to the massive target and was also playing well, but Sri Lanka’s bowling unit performed really well and didn’t allow them to achieve the target.

Aravinda de Silva posted the massive 145 runs in just 115 balls. And also top order and middle order batsmen contributed a lot. But finally Kenya lost the match and Sri Lanka won by 144 runs.

6. New Zealand Vs West Indies

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first and built a massive target 393/6 for West Indies at Wellington on 21st March 2015. Martin Guptill‘s New Zealand batsmen played a wonderful inning and scored 237 runs in 163 balls, which became very difficult for West Indies to score and made New Zealand won the match by 143 runs.

7. Australia Vs South Africa

Australia came to bat first and set the target of 378 runs in 24th March 2007. Australian top and middle order batsmen really played well. South Africa batsmen didn’t give up ans were playing very well but Australian bowlers held Australia win by 83 runs.

8. Australia Vs Sri Lanka

The match was played between Australia and Sri Lanka in Sydney, Australia. The Australian middle order batsmen played really well and built a giant score for Sri Lanka. Glenn Maxwell aggressively knocked 102 runs in just 53 balls in World cup, 2015.

Sri Lankan batsmen also played really well but unfortunately could achieve the target and it became difficult for them and Australia won by 64 runs.

9. India Vs Sri Lanka

India scored a massive score of 373 runs with a loss of 6 wickets on 21st March 1999. Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid both gave a good contribution of 183 and 145 runs, respectively. India’s bowling spell was also quite ok. Sri Lanka’s middle order batsmen played really well.

Sri Lanka’s bowling side also bowled very well. It was not that big massive score to achieve, but still Sri Lankan couldn’t make it, and India won the match by 157 runs.

10. West Indies Vs Zimbabwe

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. Chris Gayle alone played a massive stroke of 215 runs in just 147 runs, Marlon Samuels also contributed 133 of 156 balls. And the target given was 372 runs on 24th February 2015.

Zimbabwe’s middle order really played well and was trying to achieve their target and West Indies bowler restricted Zimbabwe’s team at 289 runs and finally west Indies won the match by 73 runs.
