Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has all the rights to perform the tournaments. ACC is an organisation that looks after the management and smooth conduct of tournaments under their governance. It was founded and established in 1983. It is played in both one day and T20 formats played in every alternative two years. The first edition was played in 1984 in UAE.
The latest edition was played in 2018 and the next edition will be played in 2022 and hosted by Sri Lanka. All the matches between the teams are conducted in a round-robin format. India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan are the teams taking part under Asian Cricket Council.
The very first tournament of the Asia Cup was played in 1984 in Sharjah, UAE. The ICC also announced that the entire tournament played in Asia Cup has the official One-Day International status. Here is the list of:

1. India Vs Hong Kong
The match was played between India and Hong Kong in 2008. India came out to bat first and the opening partnership between Gautam Gambhir and Virendra Sehwag of 129 stood very well and then the wonderful stoke by MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina 109 and 101 runs respectively took the team to the total of 374 runs.
Then, Hong Kong came out to bat and couldn’t have a good start and slowly the whole team went back to the pavilion and scored just 118 runs. Piyush Chawla was a leading wicket-taker and took 4 wickets, and India won the match by 256 runs.
2. Pakistan Vs Bangladesh
The match was played between Pakistan and Bangladesh in 2000. Pakistan came out to bat first and all the top order batsmen played really well and took the team to a total of 320 runs. On the other side, Bangladesh came out for chase and just started losing their wickets from the very beginning and finally Pakistan won the match by 233 runs.
3. Pakistan Vs Bangladesh
The match was played between Pakistan and Bangladesh in 1988 at Chattagram. Where Pakistan came out to bat and Moin Ul Atiq batted really well and scored 105 runs and Ijaz Ahmed scored 124amd took the team to 284 runs.
On the other side, Bangladesh came out to chase and didn’t get a good start and also none of the player build a good partnership and the innings got over at 111 runs and Pakistan got a huge win by 173 runs.
4. Pakistan Vs Hong Kong
The match was played between Pakistan and Hong Kong in the 2004 edition of Asia Cup. It was a very thriller match. Pakistan came out to bat first and the openers couldn’t do well, but Shoaib Malik scored 118 and Younis Khan scored 144 and with this partnership, they reached 343 runs. It was a very huge target for Hong Kong team.
They came out to chase and the opening partnership should be very strong and once the partnership gets built up, then the target becomes easy to chase, but here there was no partnership that got to build up and the whole team got windup at 165 runs. Pakistan won the match by 173 runs.
5. Sri Lanka Vs Bangladesh
The match was played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in 2008. It was the highest-scoring match but ended on one side. Sri Lanka came out to bat first and the opener Sanath Jayasuriya and Kumar Sangakkara smashed 251 runs partnership and took the team to a total of 332 runs.
Then, the Bangladesh team need 333 runs to win and the openers lost the wickets very early and but middle-order batsmen were looking in a good form but didn’t handle the innings well and the whole team was back to pavilion at just 174 runs. Sri Lanka won the match by 158 runs.
6. Pakistan Vs Hong Kong
The match was played between Pakistan and Hong Kong in the 2008 edition of Asia Cup. Pakistan team was in good form and also won the toss and came out to bat. Opener Salman Butt went out at zero. The other batsmen played, built a very good partnership, and took the team to the total of 288 runs with a fall of 9 wickets.
Hong Kong came out to chase and most of the players went out at duck and couldn’t make any partnership and the whole team went out at just 133 runs. At last, Pakistan won the match by 155 runs.
7. Sri Lanka Vs UAE
The match was played between Sri Lanka and UAE in 2008. Sri Lankan team was in good form, also won the toss and came out to bat first opener Kumar Sangakkara went out at duck but other players played really well and the skipper Mahela Jayawardene scored 61 runs and Udawatte scored 67 runs and took the team to 290 runs.
UAE came out to chase and the opener Amjad was in terrific form and he smashed 77 runs, but he didn’t get support from his teammates and the whole team got all out at 148 runs and Sri Lanka won it by 142 runs.
8. Pakistan Vs Bangladesh
The match was played between Pakistan and Bangladesh in the 2010 edition of the Asia Cup. Both the teams were in terrific form. Pakistan team came out to bat first and since the beginning, all the batsmen were in brilliant form and built a good partnership amongst each other and the skipper Shahid Afridi scored 124 runs and took the team to a total of 385 runs.
Bangladesh came out to chase and started their innings very well. And couldn’t reach the total and ended their innings at 246 runs. Pakistan won it by 139 runs.
9. Bangladesh Vs Sri Lanka
The match was played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in 2018. Bangladesh came out to chase and Mushfiqur Rahim scored massive 144 runs and reached the total of 261 runs. Sri Lankan team came out to chase and was just able to reach till 124 runs and the whole team went back to pavilion and Bangladesh won it by 137 runs.
10. Afghanistan Vs Bangladesh
The match was played between Afghanistan and Bangladesh in 2018. Afghanistan came out to chase and played really well and built lots a partnership and reached the total of 255 runs and on the other side Afghan bowlers didn’t allow Bangladesh batsmen to remain on the pitch for a longer time and Bangladesh scored just 119 runs and Afghanistan won the match by 136 runs.
